I am currently attending Purdue North Central to get my degree in nursing, but I am slightly overwhelmed with everything required to keep up. Any suggestions on ways to balance school, study time, and family???

Do you mean advice?
I found that you really can't balance it all. Things will suffer. You will miss special events, you will not cook fabulous meals and you will fall behind on the housework. School and studying have to come first. Onc you are done things will return to "normal" You can do this. You will look back and wonder how you managed. It will be worth it in the end. Good luck and hang in there.

Welcome!
I'm a Purdue grad....back in the ancient times....LOL
Are you straight BSN or accelerated BSN?
Purdue has a rigorous, but well respected, program in the area. Things will have to be sacrificed for your studies...but it is worth it. Family will be there when you are done. ((HUGS))
If there is ever anything you need post it or PM me. As staff you can e-mail me here.

It's hard trying balance everything but find yourself a schedule that works for you and stick with it!! I'm in my third week and am finally getting in a rhythm. Things happen and come up but if you have schedule in place you can work around it. I don't always cook and my house isn't always clean but we have clean clothes and food in the fridge. I study a lot and try to have fun in school because the days are loooong. 14 hours of lecture and 8 of lab right now. The lecture is about killing me. lol.
Thank you for the advise. I have already stocked my freezer with microwave meals :)
I am going straight BSN and things are going well so far. My youngest sister got married a few weeks ago and the other younger one is getting married this week. I was/am in both weddings but both have been very understanding as to why I have not been able to do as much as I would like. The rest of the family has been supportive as well. I just hope that after this weekend and the final wedding being over things will even go smoother. Thanks for the advise and I will definitely contact you if any more is needed. :)
