New Nurse To The Field

Nurses Career Support

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone could give me some advise!! I graduated in 2002 as an RN, but I stayed home after getting my degree to raise my baby at the time. I just got done taking a RN refresther course, and now have to get into the nursing field. I can't remember the last time I did a resume. If anyone could advise on tips for writing one up, I would really appreciate it.

Try the above link. It has several examples you can use. Good luck with your Job Search. :)

Thank you so much for this info. This really helps, I've noticed that you have worked in the ER dept. Would you recommend this dept for a new grad? I'm thinking of working at a hospital where the ER small, they don't have a trauma center. I've also heard that they take new grads all the time.

Your advice would be great!

Sure- I don't see why not, as long as they have a good solid orientation program. If that's where your heart is, I say go for it!
