I will graduate from nursing school in may 2015 to become an RN. I also just confirmed that I am pregnant with my first child! I am elated beyond belief, but this will peg my due date around October.
How are facilities about hiring pregnant new nurses? I'm guessing it is not very common! I contemplated waiting to apply until after I've had the baby, but I'm afraid I'll be so out of practice.
Any words of wisdom and encouragement will be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time!

It will be more difficult to get a position when pregnant as a new nurse. I did not have this experience, so cannot give you solid advice. However, it seems new graduate nurses who are not pregnant are having difficulties finding positions. You will be around 7 months pregnant at that time(?). It may make things more difficult for you, but congratulations, having a baby is always an exciting time whether planned or not. It will depend on where you apply and their policies on hiring pregnant staff.
