New nurse in Labor and Delivery

So I am a new nurse.. just took and passed my boards and I got hired in Labor and Delivery.

I wanted to know if anyone has any advice to avoid pit falls or common mistakes.

Im nervous and need some advice :uhoh3:

Specializes in PICU.
I'm a new grad and will be starting in L&D. I'm in Louisiana and will be working in a teaching hospital.

What hospital? Are you still there?

I am a new grad just got hired in L&D. I must add I was a medical assistant in an OBGYN office for a few years and then an OB Surgical Tech before nursing school. I do believe this helped in them hiring me as a new grad. I'm in CA

I just passed my RN state board ( CA) I really want to get into L & D. any tips since all jobs post say must have experience? I would be willing to take any RN position at this point to get the acute experience I need... Help a new grad in need
