New Nurse, where to begin

I am currently in nursing school and would like to know if anyone has a suggestion as which floor to start out on as a new nurse. I know that each area has its own uniqueness, but what is a good area to begin in?

If you have an area you just LOVE, and you can get a job there, by all means go for it. I started in ICU after I graduated last December and I have not regretted it for one minute.

If you don't have an area you just love, then Med-Surg is always a good jumping off point, as you see all kinds of things. The best part about this profession is the flexibility. You can always do something else if you get tired of an area.
