NYC is not an easy job market- many new grads are looking for jobs as well. You've got a hurdle in that you graduated in 2015 and haven't worked- those other new grads are fresh out of school. You may need to broaden your search not only beyond your dream hospitals but also beyond just the hospital setting.

that's true, back in my mind then it was fine for me not to practice in my country because thinking I might adjusting so hard once I start working as a nurse here. I guess this is the consequence. But Yes I might consider for other hospitals, even just few months or 2 years at least just to set my foot on the ground. thank you tho.

Hi Guys!
So i just recently passed NCLEX last july5, but registered july 31 and started applying just this August. Well I have Bachelors degree, registered nurse in my country (Philippines) back in 2015 but didnt really work as a nurse, I also have all the certification that they say will boost my resume and currently volunteering in a clinic and working as a part time companion.
I have submitted resumes to the popular hospitals in NYC, name them, I might just submitted to all. I tried the New Graduate Program, but havent heard back from them.
I had a oppotunity to apply here in long island, but didnt grab it because commuting is just way too hard while in the city its fine! So I chose to apply there, but really, I'm losing all my hope..
and I dont want to apply in nursing home, I'm not offending any nurses currently working or might had work in that field, but I love to work in a hospital....
I'm on the verge of losing it. I'm not that happy in my clinic as well as the part time, although yes I am very lucky that I still have a job, but its just frustrating
SHOULD I STILL WAIT FOR MY DREAM HOSPITALS?
thinking NCLEX was hard, looking for a job is much worse
