I’ve pretty much been in hospice since I started nursing, with the exception of small breaks doing QA or other things still with geriatric patients. I just accepted a job on an adult behavioral health unit. As a single Mom, the 12 hour shifts will help our schedule hopefully and hospice has essentially been 24/7 lately. Does anyone who transitioned to mental health have any tips? It’s in a hospital setting so many perks there as well, I just feel there’s a lot for me to learn/refresh myself on before I start!?

If possible, you can join the APNA (American Psychiatric Nurses Assoc.) where you can get continuing education and support.
