I Was Researching Info About Rapid Response Teams And It Brought Up Some Notes From This Site.it's A Pleasure To Be Aware Of A Group Of People With Collectively So Much Experience And I'am Sure Wisdom As Well.i Will Be Looking For Positive Feedback Of Info Regarding Teams As Our Hospital Is Embarking On This Journey.i'am Hoping It Will Be Successful.currently The Question I'am Posing To You Rn's Is What Does Your Hospital Have The Rn Doing When He/she Is Not Receiving Calls Or Doing Paperwork. Someone In Our Group Suggested Doing Baths. I Personnaly Don't Mind This But Would Mind If This Was The New Job This Team. Icurn10 Thanks

"...The Rn Doing When He/she Is Not Receiving Calls Or Doing Paperwork...."
I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you mean what does the nurse on the Rapid Response Team do when not on a call or filling out the subsequent paperwork? Our hospital does not have a RN dedicated strictly to the Rapid Response Team; it is the charge nurse in the ICU who responds and he/she is doing of the regular charge nurse duties in the ICU. If we were to have a dedicated RN for the RRT, I'd imagine she'd float in the unit doing whatever needed done...starting IVs, hanging blood, doing admission databases, helping the nurse who's overloaded at the moment, or assisting with personal care.
