Hi! I will be starting a lvn program too in August. I have to admit, I too, am a little nervous. It will probably involve some new changes and adjustments but hopefully everything will work out for all the newbies. Congrats to all! Have a great day! ~829~

Hey Congrats,

I just started the LPN Progam May 31, so far it is awesome. This program is 12 months long and I think will be a great start in the nursing field. Lots of reading and studying, but when the info is interesting its not that hard to do. Would be glad to answer in specific questions you have.

Thanks Ahshay!! I'm glad you'll be here to answer some of the questions I'll have!!

Congrats to everyone! I remember getting the letter and all the anticipation leading up to the first day. I remember my first day so vividly even though it was almost two years ago (WOW!) This is a very exciting time in your life. You will learn so much about yourself and your classmates really will become a strong support system- a family. I won't scare you with how difficult it is, because I found it to be trying and it had its challenges but it wasn't the end all/be all for me personally. You will get out of your education what you put in, and while you won't be totally prepared for your first job as much as you may want to (reality is a rude awakening in nursing!) you will be very knowledgeable. Nursing school teaches you not what to think, but HOW to think. Good luck! Enjoy your schooling because boy will it fly!

Hey sandiesown!! congratulations!!

I'm going to lpn school on long island..

I start my LPN program full time July 24th. Now finishing math for meds, already have taken my medical terminology, and have to take my computer class, and one week of nursing fundamentals the week of July 4th. My program is 12 months.

valifay, what school are you going to? I am starting a capital area(springfield, il) for my lpn....9 months....heard it is intense. I'm a mother of 4 and currently working as a cna. May need to quit working by then. any advice for keeping my head above water. I start school in aug.

Hi!

I just got the call today that I have been accepted into the LPN program...I have been waiting months to hear this news!! I am so excited....my 18 year-old son was accepted to the program, too :)

My program begins Oct 2, and will take approx 2.5 years, since I will be an evening student, and we only have class 2x a week.....it works well for me, because this way husband can be home to take care of the other 4 children :)

Congrats to all new students!!!
