Hey,
Any new or current LPN students here in Chicago, lets start a thread/blog/or conversation where we can share our experiences with each other. We can share our first year experiences and give those who are starting after us some insight into what is expected from our various programs. Also, I would love to hear from current LPN students who can give us some insight, tips, or advice on their LPN program. I will be attending ATS starting 9/2/2014 and I have orientation this Thursday 8/7/2014 and I am both excited and nervous as to what is expected during this program. Good Luck to you all!!!!!!

good luck i attend ats. all i can say its what you make it.
Lillady04,
How long have you attended? Honestly, how is this school/program? I have received mixed reviews and I would really like to know what I am getting myself into because this school is pretty expensive!!!! I really do not want to have any regrets, so I would LOVE you feedback/opinions.
im in my second semester. the school has good and bad. it's what you make of it. it's very chaotic and unorganized. policies change overnight.
Yeah, it kind of seemed that way during orientation, it was rushed, questions were half answered. No school id's were taken and class schedules were not ready. They said we would get all of that on the 1st day of class. Are they really strict about their payment arrangements?
Mscoleman78,
oh yeah they will pull you out of class if you don't make your payment. You wont be able to take finals.

Congrats and good luck ladies, I'm at the end of my first semester at BestMed Care, we're doing nursing fundamentals and clinicals, I'm averaging a 95% but it's kicking my a$$, how are you all doing in yall program
I am doing fine because we are just taking refresher courses basically. Fundamentals and clinicals don't start until Jan 2015, but I have an A average in all my classes so far. I was thinking about attending BestMed Care, do you like it?
Yeah, it's very fast paced but it allows me enough time to work/study/be with my family. They have a few kinks they need to work out but it's a new program and Im glad I chose them

Hi I'm interested in best meds lpn or ats.I want to start in January. Please give me reviews about your journey in the programs. How did you make sure best med was accredited, I am afraid of that.
Well ATS is ok, it has small classes and they offer evening and weekend classes. They are pretty expensive and the rules and policies change often.....so keep a record of everything!!!!! I am in week 10 of 15 so Im almost done with the first semester and it is a lot of work, but so well worth it!!!!! Good Luck
Just checking in to see how you all are doing in your programs? I will be finishing the beginning of August and I can't wait, how is things going for yall?
