This is really exciting. Apparently a new bill was signed into law that allows N95s previously marketed for construction to be diverted to hospitals. Not only does that allow existing supplies of 'construction N95' to be sold to hospitals immediately, but it will also create supply chains so that those 'construction N95' manufacturing plants can continue to make more masks.

I know the government can be really frustrating, but measures like these make me feel as though our requests for increased PPE are being heard and addressed. I get daily emails from the ANA saying 'tell your lawmakers we need PPE,' and here are the lawmakers passing legislation to make it happen.
