I am actually in the very early stages of researching my nursing education. I am 27 years old and looking to go back to school for my BSN. I do have a number of credits from an out of state community college from several years ago. I am wondering where do I go from here? Is anyone in the same boat? I have done a lot of online research but still have many questions. I know of several colleges in the area that have nursing programs, but can find little info on admissions and requirement info. I am also wondering if they are as competitive as some of the other schools that I have heard people talking about on here. Basically I am just looking for some guidance.......any experience or info would be greatly appreciated.

I am in NJ, too. If you don't get many responses in this forum, try posting your message in the NJ Nurses forum, under the Region tab at the top of the page.
Meanwhile, here is the NCLEX pass rate for all NJ RN and LPN programs:

One thing I've learned is that every school has different prerequisites, different entrance exams, etc. But if you want to get some of the common prerequisites out of the way, think about chemistry, anatomy & physiology I and II, microbiology. Most of the nursing schools have a website with admissions information, but if you can't find it, give the school(s) you're interested in a call.
Good luck!
