hi lovies!!!

i'm finally graduated nursing school in one piece woooo hoo:yeah:!!! now to reality...no damn jobs :uhoh3:!! here's my info:

i'm from northern nj and work for valley health systems for the past 5 years at their medical groups, not the hospital...anyhow...i have an upcoming interview for their new grad residency program...if i get it awesome...maybe nj and i could work it out....if not i'm out the door!!! :devil:

my question is...where would i go...i hate hot weather..so the south is pretty much out...what do you think...where did you move..loved it...hated it..why..or why not...there has to be a brighter side...any info on moving would be fantastic!!!

i think it's hard to ask a NJ forum where to go if you want to leave NJ.

The problem with leaving NJ is that there is a higher cost of living and conversely a higher rate of pay here. I've been told that once you leave it's hard to come back - but i have no first hand experience with that.

Perhaps you can find work in NY or PA and maintain residency in NJ. Have you tried any other hospital systems? There are quite a few in Northern NJ. Good luck, I hope you find what you are looking for.

I know that North Dakota and Minnesota has a shortage, some new grads headed out there last year. If you like the cold this could be for you, also Mass and Rhode Island.
