I've taken plenty of vacations and just not told them (I was under the impression that you didn't have to tell them unless you were wanting to not check in/test). If you were going somewhere overseas/cruise/etc where it would be really hard to test, you can request a monitoring interruption. This is at your case manager's discretion
I took plenty of international vacations while in IPN, I notified them before I travelled and showed proof of my itinerary, I was allowed an interruption every time, didn’t need to check in while abroad. Trips within the USA are different, you need to continue to check in and call affinity to help you find a place to test if you are selected that day.
I hope this information is helpful

Hello. Maybe it sounds like a stupid question but I am awaiting to sign my contract with IPN. I read that the norm now is 5 years. I have family leaving abroad. Does it mean I won’t see them for 5 years due to being in monitoring? Or does IPN allow some kind of vacation/ time off maybe a week or 2? I would really appreciate any answers. Thanks
