I am so excited to be graduating in December and taking my NCLEX soon thereafter for licensure in Maryland. I will be new to the area, and my husband will be working in Howard County. I am hoping to find a job either in Baltimore or Howard County, or someplace near by (Anne Arundel, Prince George's, etc).
I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for hospitals I should consider in my search, especially those with good residency/training programs?

Anne Arundel Medical Center is a beautiful hospital in Annapolis. I read that they have a new nurse orientation program in November...you might start looking on their website in late September and during October. They have great patient care there!

That is a really impacted area with few jobs. I would apply to each and every job you can find to increase your chances.
Thank you for the advice :)

I agree with CarryThatWeight. Apply everywhere you can! The VA has good programs but it is hard to get into...

University of Md Medical Center in Baltimore has a lot of nursing positions open. I know they have a med-surg/tele position open that is a great first job for new grad RNs (I know because that was my first job there!). And the commute at 6.30am takes about 20minutes on 95.
