How much you earn per hour??

Specializes in Telemetry, CCU.

In southern california in a telemetry unit, night shift: $31/hr (that's including night differential). Sad thing is, central california pays almost the same and has a much cheaper cost of living. You pay to live by the beach!!

The same as I earnt as a senior EN (read LPN). Exactly the same amount of money!!! About 25 AUD an hour. That at todays exchange rates is 22.50 USD But we also have I think 12.5% extra penalties for late and night shifts, 50% extra for Saturdays, and 100% extra for Sundays and public holidays. If you work Mon - Fri office hours (not many new grads do that LOL) you earn 46 031AUD a year, that is 41,391.25 USD. But with penalties you earn a lot lot more.

As of this pay coming, I should go up into the next increment. If I don't I will be chasing them down! I've done my year!

Don't worry. After you get some experience you can try agency work making between 45 to 54 dollars per hour. Not bad for a 2 year degree!

By the way, why doesn't anyone use the chat rooms?

Thanks,Everybody. Is anybody here who work inor around SF?? I heard that hospital pay well over there.

Yes SF pays well but I've heard that its harder to get a job there and the cost of living is outrageous. Keep in mind that in SF, you also have to pay for parking for most places you live or go (shopping etc.) or you take public transportation. In other words, it is a different way of life (from what I've heard, I know a lot of ppl from the Bay area).

25.09/hr. without shift differentials.....I will be working on a stroke step-down floor in NE Ohio.

Oh,I see,so it's gonna be same if nurses who work in SF get paid more?? Do you guys have any benefits like bounus??
