Hey Everyone! Wanted to start a thread on applying to NYC hospitals as a New Grad RN. I just started applying a month ago and so far have had an interview at NYP, but haven't heard back and haven't heard from anywhere else. Just wondering how everyone else's experience is going so far!

Hey- congrats on getting an interview. Was there a specific new grad posting for NYP or did you just apply to a listing for a unit you were interested in?
I've applied to NYU and I'll be interviewing this week. Helps that I'm currently a student nurse extern there.

Thank you! I just applied to units I was interested in on the NYP website. Good luck with your interview at NYU!

For NYP you should apply on their website. They have separate postings for each unit/job and new grads can apply to whatever they’re eligible for. For NYU there’s one application for new grads. After applying there, I’d reach out to a recruiter in order to actually have your application reviewed.

They hire every month, so you should be fine!

I say just apply. Make accounts at the career pages of the hospital you are interested in and apply to the openings you find in the unit you're wanting to join. I passed my boards early March and that was when I started actively applying, signed my offer early April. Just finished my 2nd week of orientation. They are hiring so just be sure to submit your resume. Good luck everyone!
