New Grad RN moving to OHIO

Published

Specializes in Psychiatric Nurse, Forensic Nurse.

Good day fellow nurses, I'm still lost since I graduated and become a registered nurse. I'm a registered nurse here in New York, and planning to move just to find a job like Nursing Residency or any hospitals that are acquiring Registered nurses without experience. I need help. What are the hospitals that you can recommend? Thank you!

Specializes in ED.

What area of Ohio?

Specializes in Cardiology.

Depends on the area. In Cleveland you have Cleveland Clinic, UH, Metro, and the VA. Columbus you have the VA, OSU, Ohio Health, and Mt Carmel. As for Cincy I am not sure but I know they have a very good children's hospital.

Specializes in ER.

I would begin applying now before moving. Look at these areas: Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland, Toledo. They have a bunch of hospitals there however those are the larger cities and it's all spread out. Catholic Health Partners, which goes under a few names in Ohio but they are in Cincinnati, Lima, Toledo, and a few others will hire new grads into regular RN positions but the odds of getting in is up to the individual hospitals. Also, look at the regional sites and not the main Catholic Health Partners' site for job postings. The main site is never updated but the individual regional sites are.

Children's in Cincinnati prefers BSNs but they hire new grads. Apply early because the new grad spots fill up quickly.
