Hi! I am a new grad RN with 3 months of experience so far in an acute care setting. For many unsafe nursing practices at this hospital as well as my desire to relocate ASAP, I am still trying to apply to other hospitals. My question is, when I am applying for new grad positions (6 months or less of experience), how do I address this in my cover letter? Is it necessary to include that I am a new grad with a few months experience hoping to change hospitals or should I write my cover letter as if I am still a fresh new grad?
Any help is appreciated! I am extremely lost at what to do.

So, full disclosure, I don't have any experience with this directly, so I can't advise on which way to go from a managerial standpoint, but if you are to add this to your cover letter/resume, I would definitely focus more on the want/need to relocate as opposed to the "unsafe practices". Hospitals don't like to hear negative things about previous locations because it puts in their head that you may speak the same way about them. Just keep it positive. Good luck to you!

If you are relocating, focus on that and still talk about your 3 months of experience. In the meantime keep plugging away at the job you are in until you find something else. Good luck!
