New Grad Development Academy for nurses who have passed NCLEX but have not worked professionally as an RN. The RNs hired into this new grad program will be hired as a staff nurse in one of our six facilities upon successful completion of the training program. The program will begin January 16, 2011 and is a 12 to 16 week program depending on area of specialization. The training will include orientation on the nursing floor, in classroom and in a simulation lab. We will have opportunities in a variety of nursing areas. Once you submit your application we will begin contacting our top candidates in December for interviews.

Must be a Registered nurse with current AZ nursing license, BSN preferred. Must have not worked as an RN previously.

CPR certification

This position will accept applications until November 28th.

Is this what the standard is going to be? Up to 16 weeks of unpaid work to get a new grad job! I guess its like 1 extra semester of school clinical.

Where is this? What are six facilities that have this program? I think it kinda sucks but if it gets you a job.....

They pay you during the residency program.

Good to know.., it seemed as if it said hired only upon completion which I took to mean unpaid until completion.

Someone in a previous posting mentioned they got a rejection letter already. I haven't gotten one yet but also haven't heard anything at all…
