New grad relocating after 10 weeks orientation

Hi everyone! Looking for some advice on what I can expect with my situation. I'm a new grad RN, and I started working on a med surg floor 10 weeks ago. I still have 2 more weeks of orientation on my floor. I also just found out that my fiancee's job is requiring us to relocate across the country in 4 weeks from now. I am afraid this will look really bad to leave my job only a few months in, even though the reason is outside my control. Also, since I am still on orientation, I wonder if my job will be less than thrilled to keep me on for the next 4 weeks because they know I will be leaving. So here are my questions:

-Should I expect to be cut loose as soon as I announce I am leaving? (I would want to work as many days as I can before moving)

-Would it be a good idea to include this experience on my resume for my next job?

-Does this look bad to leave this soon into a job, even though I am leaving the job for reasons outside my control?

Any advice on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated!

Does your fiance's job really require you to move across the country? Could your fiance go on ahead, set up a place to live, and after around 6 months in your current job, you apply for a job in the new location?

At this point it wouldn't make sense for us to live apart. We've had a home together for 4 years, and it would be like starting from scratch and rebuying everything we own to have 2 separate houses.

Yes it will look bad, but you have a fairly decent explanation. You may be cut loose early and you may not be.

If I were you, I would list the experience on future resumes. I would also make sure my manager and director knew how crushed I was to be leaving so soon ...and how grateful I was for the opportunity to work under such great leadership. You might even let them know that you'd love to be able to return if you ever move back into the area. In other words, lay it on thick and hope they buy what you're selling.
