New Grad program at Mayo

Hi all -

My husband and I are relocating to the Phoenix area and I'm reading up on Mayo's Graduate Support program. I know new grads typically begin at Mayo in January and June but I'm wondering how soon in advance they put the listings up. Anyone know anything about this? I don't graduate until August but I want to be prepared to submit my application as soon as I can for the January '12 class. Any insight is greatly appreciated! :)

Hey! I am in their new grad program and I love it. I highly recommend volunteering or being active in the community. Nursing is about helping others, and actions definitely speak louder than words. Good luck to you!!

Thank you! I would love to volunteer; I wish I had the time. They barely give you time to breathe in an 11 month BSN program, lol. In fact, I'm feeling guilty taking the two seconds posting on here!!!

So glad to hear of someone in the program who loves it. I'm crossing my fingers but not holding my breath. Since I'm coming from 4000 miles away, I'm sure there are way more qualified and experienced applicants right around the corner!

Congratulations on the New grad program it sounds very exciting. Can I ask what the interview process was like? A panel or individual? Just curious! I am also curious about their ranking system, makes me wonder what you get points for...

To Iamapepper I think that if you graduate in August you may need to apply for the January 2012 program because their next one starts on June 7th and they required that you are done with school before that day.

Rn in White- I just applied today for the june 7th start. PLEASE tell us what the application process was like for you : do you know how many applicants, how long until they contact you, interview process and questions and some of the basic structure of the program?? I would love to be in the june 7th cohort but I know that competition is so tough that its very competitive. Any extra info would be appreciated : )

Thank you so much! I mentioned in my original post that I was interested in January '12 class. But I did take a look at the application for June '12 today just so I know what to expect when they post the next one in September.

Does anyone know about recommendations? The posting didn't mention anything about it so do you just have them sent over when you apply?
