I asked when I interviewed and they said that we would rotate through ICU, PCU/stepdown, Med-surg and ER in the first 12 weeks, and then we get to preference where we would rather work out of those and the nurse managers will decide. I told them I prefer ICU or PCU- I did my clinical capstone preceptor placement in a MICU at our local county medical center and it was a great experience! Where are you from originally? I just signed a lease a little bit south in Bradenton. I'm going to have about an hour drive but my boyfriend has family down here so we decided to settle down close to them at first at least :). I'm Katie by the way!
I just took my boards this week and passed. SO glad that's done with, lol. Good luck with your move! And I know what you mean, lol. I've never lived more than a 5 hour drive from home, so moving a 19 hour drive away was a big change. I definitely can't wait to meet everyone and make some new friends down here!
I am also interested in reviews from nurses who have worked at Florida Hospital of Carrolwood. Anyone?? I have 8 years of nursing experience and would be relocating from the midwest. I am looking for FT RN positions that are straight days preferably in a hospital setting which is where my current experience is: Pulmonary/Step down/PCU.
Hello!
I was just offered a position at FHT for an internship in PCU. I was wondering you're experiences are going with your positions at FHT. which unit do you work in? Did you have to sign a 2-year contract. Did you have to work night shifts? Do you like it? Thank you so much in advance for you're response!

Hi! I am starting the new grad program at Florida Hospital Tampa in July and was just seeing who else is out there and where you're from! And any input from previous employees that went through the program would be awesome! I signed my new hire paperwork while on a short trip in Tampa this week. Can't wait :)
