New Grad Positions?

Hey, does anyone know of any hospitals that are welcoming new grads in Massachusetts?

They say 80% of jobs aren't posted to the public, so maybe some nurses out there that are working at hospitals that are hiring new grads can help!

Specializes in Surgical, ICU, Transplant, Trauma.

I work in an ICU, MGH is not on a hiring freeze, but have drastically reduced the number of new graduates they take by 50%.

Well I'm glad you guys got jobs right off the bat no problem. I've been trying since December/January as a new grad. I don't have any connections, so networking isn't possible for me. I've called nurse managers just to be turned down saying they aren't hiring new grads, and have left messages on others' answering machine with no return calls. When I call HR they tell me very little and just say I'll get a call back if they are interested.

I am getting pretty desperate for a job. I'm pretty desperate just for an interview. Haven't even gotten one yet. Despite applying for 50-60 jobs.

If anyone works on a floor where they are looking for new hires, do you think that you could bring in my resume? Everyone says to network, network, network, but this is the only way I could possibly network.
