My portfolio has my resume/cover letter (on the good paper). It also has recommendation letters from my teachers, it has a few programs from events that I've participated in, my Application for Licensure, my NCLEX test date reciept, a couple blank skills check off lists (to show what I've done), immunization records and a copy of my social security card/Driver's license (you never know...could be hired on the spot!), unoffical transcript (or sealed official if you have it), and I keep my ACLS, PALS, and CPR cards there too. I honestly wouldn't waste good paper on regular papers...only for my resume.
Mine has/had the cover letter I submitted with my application, the resume I submitted, my letters of recommendation, copies of my certifications, and my pediatric clinical course evaluation where I received rave reviews LOL
I kept my driver's license and social security card to myself, but did have it just in case.
They seemed really impressed with what I had, but then again I TOTALLY thought I had the job... and I'm still looking for work! So....
Here is some really good information and resources.

What to include?
What NOT to include?
What should be on the cover page? (Technically, I can't put the RN title after my name since I haven't taken the NCLEX yet).
Should all pages be consistent?(For example, I plan to photocopy Letters of Recommendation, certifications, skills check-off from school, volunteer logs, school evals, employer evals etc etc...Should they all be printed on the same paper as my resume/cover letter?...I think it's a waste of nice paper
)
Advice...?
