Hey 13Virgo, PM me. I didn't start there but I have a good friend who did. He LOVES it.

The nurse educators run Project Heartbeat. Josh and Alan are great teachers (I took ACLS/PALS with them years ago).

:)

Can you pass on my email to your friend Lmarie2003@ gmail.com, Thanks

Virgo - are you receiving responses from Kaiser's online app. process? If you've gotten through - first, congratulations, and second, I would really appreciate any tips!

Thanks!

I have worked at Kaiser for 9 years and honestly I don't get it. I have been applying to all the postions that I'm qualified for. Recently they posted 12 new grad positions in Oakland ER but they were all internal postings so unless you work here you wouldnt be able to see them on the online site. Even being an employee I don't get any more consideration than someone on the outside since I am not in the CNA union. The postions will most likely be taken by nurses wanting to transfer from the floors to the ER. I'm hoping that I get the opportunity, but havent heard anything yet. Kaiser is pretty hard to get into, and I am applying on the outside as well but without any luck. I graduated in December and passed boards shortly after, this whole process is very discouraging.

Thanks for replying. I moved to Oakland in January for my husband's job; after applying to 100+ positions here and hearing nothing, I wound up taking a position in Fresno and living/working there three days a week. It's hard here right now. Best of luck to you - I totally understand your frustration. Hopefully it gets better soon!

I have applied to over 1000 jobs all over California. If you are already working as a nurse the best thing to do is contact the recruiter I can give you that information but rather do it by email.
