Hello everyone,
I am a new LVN grad and I am having the hardest time trying to find a job. Most, if not all jobs that I have applied for want either 1 or 2 years of experience working as a LVN, but how am I supposed to get experience without getting hired?? I send my resume anyways hoping that they will call me but its been about 7 months since I graduated and 3 months since I received my license and still no luck. I fear I will lose much of my knowledge before I am hired. Someone please help!!!!!

Thanks to everyone for this helpful information. At least I know I'm not the only one going through this. I have been applying to every single type of nursing jobs hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies etc... I really don't care who calls I just want a call!! I am willing to do anything that will give me experience, work at the times most people don't want to work or even work PRN or get paid less that doesn't matter to me. I am even going to apply at a prison a few cities away. Although my parents are not very happy with that but I am desperate and a nursing job is a nursing job even if its at a prison. I hope this economy gets better soon! And I hope it gets easier for future nursing grads to find jobs :)
