Hi,
I'm Graduating in December with my BSN and I've heard the the market for new grads is pretty tough.
Anyone have an idea if it would be easier to get a job in New York City (or an area surrounding) or in the San Francisco Bay Area?
Thanks!
nikkilaughs, when did you graduate?
a girl in my program who graduated last fall got a job in a hiv/aids clinic in san francisco. she said she totally lucked out. so far she is very happy there.
there are jobs where i am at in new mexico right now. although, i do not want to live here anymore. i have sacrificed enough of my time just to go to nursing school. i am still determined to try and get a job in san fran when i graduate.

I wouldn't recommend SF as a new grad. I went to a program up in the Bay Area. Out of my class of 28:
14 are not working
5 are working in hospitals, 2 because they relocated, the others had been LVN's at the hospitals for about 10 years.
5 are working in clinic settings
4 are working case management or SNF's
