Hey guys,
i just passed my boards last Tuesday and my boss offered me a position on a telemetry floor! I have been working there for about 7 years now as an aide but I'm very nervous to start as a nurse . I know mostly everyone there and I know great nurses and also others that don't really care for me. I'm scared that I will have too much pressure on myself. Any advices or tips on how to survive your first job? Help!! Thank you!!

Congrats!!
one of the most disturbing part of any new job is worrying about the people/not knowing anyone/being the new 'kid' in the place. You don't have to endure that, so you are one step ahead of most of us!
I am pretty new as well, and at first it felt like I knew nothing. That's a normal feeling! Don't let it get you down. Ask loads of questions, but try not to have ask the same questions twice. Look for (or even start) a new grad support group with other new grads in the facility. That was the best thing I ever did! It is so helpful to be able to network with others in the same situation.
Remember, they offered you a job because they like the way you work. You are already a valued employee, so breathe and enjoy!
Thank you so much for your nice words! I didn't look at it in they way you did which makes a lot of sense and makes me feel much better! I've always wanted to work on a cardiac floor ! I will pay attention and make sure to follow what you said. Any suggestions on how to make a good one sheet care plan for my pts so I can write down important info in the beginning of the shift? Would u know of any websites for that? Again, thank you!!
I use the same format that we used in school. I am used to the format so it's real easy for me to use that and it works to keep me organized. If the format you used in school feels right, use that! Otherwise, I'm sure that there are some forums here somewhere that have some more info on that. Unfortunately, you would have to search, I can't remember exactly where I saw it.
