Here's my problem. I so badly want a simple floor-nurse med-surg position. I am an RN with an associate's working on a bachelor's. Been working in LTC for a little less than a year. Obsessively been applying on-line since than and have had 3 interviews, another soon to come. I'm am a helpful, nice, kind of quiet girl but excited to see what's out there in nursing. When I have an interview I get so nervous they don't get to know me well and I don't hear back. Pleeeaaase help!!!!

You need someone to do mock interviews with you. Does your school help with this? Mine would set up mock interviews with you, video tape it then review it with you to help you see how you come across and to give you pointers.
I always took the view than an interview was nothing more than a chance to talk about nursing with other nurses. It helped, as that is a subject I am both passionate about and comfortable with. Try to see it as you interviewing them for a good fit as much as they are interviewing you.
Thankyou that is very helpful
