NEW GRAD Needs Help

Featured Replies

Practice and hope that you get a great preceptor that helps you. Best of Luck!! Welcome to nursing. I jumped straight into the fire-my first job was at an ortho rehab place that was also a LTC facility. I had anywhere from 15-20 pts to care for as a new grad. Learned time management fast. After 6 years, it is almost always a challenge

What is the best way to learn how to Prioritize patient care? I get the whole ABCs and what they teach in school. Just looking for some real life experiences that textbooks and instructors don't really teach.

Is there specific situation on your mind? Prioritizing care is what nursing school is about, almost entirely. I'm not sure a whole program can be summarized in a few lines.
