Hello, I'm not sure if you found a job yet. But I am a New Grad and it took me about 2 months to get a job. You have to be very persistent. Call Nursing Recruitment once a week!! Hopefully that helps :)Good Luck,
Cherry
Where did you get a job? I have been applying since August and still nothing. Thanks for your help. :)
After looking for a JOB for almost two months now I finally got a job offer from Calvary hospital. I am so excited and can't wait to start working there. I have to tell you that getting a job in NYC is very difficult. I went to countless ineterviews where the manager was interviewing a minimum of 5 people to open houses a hospitals with horrible reputations that had a minimum of 150 people attending trying to get a job. I wish everyone luck on their search. Call HR everyday if you have to and keep faxing in your RESUME every week.
P.S. a lot of hospitals are on a hiring freezeeeeeeeeeee.

Hi
I have been a ADN registered nurse for a year now but after my license I decided to work with an agency at a nursing home while taking classes for my BSN. I will graduate in the spring of 09 with the RN-BSN. My course loads are now only nursing classes, which allows me time to get a full time job. This semeter I am only taking a pharmocology 1 credit and Health assessment 3 credits. I have been going around applying to hospitals such as (Interfaith, Coney Island, Kings County, Lutheran and Wycoff) but I am not hearing anything back after 1 week. My question is do I keep calling the HR/Nurse recruitment qday or do I wait. I really want to get into Coney Island so I wanted to know if anyone has worked there can tell me how they got hired. I need a job really, really bad.
