Hi there everyone! ?
Okay so I am a new grad Nurse from the SF Bay Area considering moving to LA for a two year contract with Pioneer Staffing at Centinela Hospital. LA is somewhere I want to move to permanently and is where my SO lives. It's been a struggle landing a job as a new grad in SF/ northern cali in general- and this hospital offering has some good units I'm interested in (ICU, ER, Tele). It would be fabulous getting my foot in the door in any hospital at this point- but the two year contract is holding me back.
The reviews of the hospital are not the best, and I am concerned about getting enough training.
Does anyone have experience with this staffing agency/ hospital or with contracts in general? Any info would be appreciated!

I would never recommend a new grad go with a staffing agency. You will be expected by the hospital to hit the ground running and you will have very little training at all. Staff pool nurses are usually some of the most experienced, knowledgeable and flexible out there. I find it unconscionable to hire a new grad into one of those positions, to be honest. Dangerous for the grad, dangerous for the patients.
