New Grad moving to Athens, help please!

Hi, I am in 4th semester nursing school in Wichita, KS. My family and I are moving to GA and would like to relocate to Athens (my husband wishes to go to UGA). I am starting to apply to the local hospitals but didn't know what the job market was like down there. I have been working as a nurse tech at one of the larger hospitals here and am hoping that will help me out. It's been hard passing up nursing jobs here when we don't know the environment we're going into. We would appreciate any insight on the area! Thank you in advance!!

My family lived in Athens for a number of years....you should think about Northeast Georgia Health system in Gainesville it is not very far. Just out Rt. 129 and they have made that road dual lane so it's much faster now. It's not terribly far into Lawrenceville (Gwinnett Medical Center) via Rt.316.
