Hi fellow nurses!
I graduated from my nursing degree, and became a registered nurse December 2014 (in my country, you become registered after sitting the state examination in your final year of the degree).
I have decided to look for a hospital job. Up to now, I had taken some time off after the study to do some travelling overseas and have a break after the very intense nursing training. I got back from my trip overseas a few weeks ago, and have been looking for community nursing work/deciding what career to do (whether to keep nursing or do something else).
I have decided to look for hospital nursing jobs, as there are tons more of those than community/primary health positions in my country for new graduates. I also think hospital nursing will give me a good base and give me options.
I have been out of the nursing study/textbooks/clinical environment for 6 months and am very keen to revise and study everything important to know so i am prepared for my first job (/interview!)
Does anybody have some tips of how to go about this?
I am going to begin studying my nursing textbooks/past work again.
Thanks!
