New grad looking for advice

I was looking to get some opinion or advice regarding a current job opportunity. I'm a recently graduated RN with my ADN in the Southern California area. I've been offered a position in a small community hospital in the intensive care unit. The pay is lower than expected ($29), but there is no contract involved. I'm currently in a RN-BSN program and would like to work in a level 1 or 2 trauma hospital in the future. Would you start in a position such as this?

I would suggest looking into the following:

• What is their orientation like?
• How is the culture of the unit?
• For other new graduates, how was their experience like while getting acclimated to the unit?
• Nurse to patient ratio?

If after researching those, and you still feel eager to start, I would go for it!
