New grad, just got a job offer in fresno, needs advice pls

Hi, to all! I am a new graduate nurse from San Diego and I just got a job offer in Fresno after my interview 2 days ago...I graduated with my BSN in Dec. I was offered $28/hr...I was wondering if that is the amount to start for a new grad with BSN? Obviously salary for a new grad here in San Diego is much higher, because of the cost of living too... I just want to get an idea. Also, if you do live in Fresno, can you give me advice in which area to live in? I just want to be in a safe neighborhood as I will be moving there and will be living there by myself. Thank you in advance!

I'm new grad, and I make more than that in Tracy(CENTRAL VALLEY) . That is what many of my new grad classmates are making. If it is within a hospital, and your getting acute care experience TAKE IT!:yeah: CONGRATULATIONS.

Sounds like a wonderful dilemma to have. So what did you finally do? San Diego is such a beautiful place.

I ended up turning down this great opportunity. However I'm still waiting for the result of the two interviews I just had and I will have my next interview this Friday and I hope I still continue to get calls for interview. Keeping my fingers crossed.
