  1. I wake up at around 5:30am on weekdays and try to take off by 6:30 so I can make it to an 8am class. :) You're right, 30 miles can take long; I do 25 miles and it's about 1 hour 15 minutes with the morning rush hour. I think it's all about dedication and always envisioning the end-goal always in mind. Some good music to jam and sing to while on the road doesn't hurt too. :)
  2. I couldn't get into A&P due to my late registration time, but I got into the following three courses: Intro to Sociology Lifespan Development Philosophy - Logic Looking forward to getting these prereqs out of the way :)
  3. Well, I ended up letting my TA know. She was very understanding. To my surprise, she ended up passing the information to the professor and now everytime he leaves he has to check out with her. Anyway, 5 more weeks till I"m done!! For my class, 93%+ constitutes an A. I'm currently in the 80-some % zone. I need to get all A's here on out for my grade. Stress stress stress!
  4. Does anyone else have a lab partner? My partner is horrible. He keeps leaving class 1 hr or more early and leaving me to take care of our joint tasks, clean up for both of us, or even finish up on what he left behind. Yet he does well on the exams/assignments. Life is unfair!
  5. Oh yay!! Congrats on the good news. :)
  6. That's basically what they've been saying for ages now.
  7. Hi nitenurse702, can you give us more detail? :S Because the program seems great on paper and you are one of the few who mentions the cons. Congrats on your triumph though and I wish you the best!
  8. Congrats Tela!! Reading about your triumph and perseverance gives me great hope. :) Where are you relocating from? Did you by any chance research schools in the west coast?
  9. Super duper thanks! I just bookmarked it.
  10. Not crazy! In fact, I think it's best to get it out of the way asap because there are just soo many formulas you have to remember by the end of the quarter. I took Statistics over a 5 week (online) course, as well. This was my least favorite of all the pre-reqs!!! And I am someone who IS a math person but stats is nothing like algebra or very "math"-like, as someone else said. It's more like busy-work, logic, etc. Most of the wrong answers I ever got were simply due to calculator error (inputting the wrong #'s or forgetting some, etc.) My advice to you is to not rush when you do the hw/exams because that's how silly mistakes come in. Is this the only class you're taking for summer school? If it's just this, I am SURE you can handle it! Just make sure you spend time doing MANY problems until you get the hang of a concept, before moving on. The subject also isn't something you can cram overnight. So with time + dedication you'll do just fine. :)
  11. Oh, congrats ! Could you help shed some light for us and say what state you got hired in? Thanks in advanced!
  12. Thank you for the kind encouragements, and congratulations to you! :anpom:
  13. I just picked myself up a used copy of "How to Survive Nursing School" for only ~$4 shipped on amazon. :) Looking forward to reading it this summer.
