New grad, job issues, and more school

Published

Hi there

Here's my dilemma... I graduated a ADN program in May 2011. I didn't get a GN job, because they all were taken so fast. I know even BSN nurses who didnt get a job. I am starting my pre-reqs for my BSN program which I will start in fall 2012.

My question is, I NEED A JOB! so should I wait for the next round of GN jobs in december? Or just try to get a job period like as anything in a hospital, or even just settle with a normal part time job while i'm getting my BSN? I need money to pay rent, so I gotta do something! I just dont know whats best

Any opinions? past experiences? something?

Hmmm well its good at least ur getting ur BSN..so ur not totally not doing anything...:)

well...i definetly say get some kind of experience under your belt.. (i'm a new grad) and ive been told by many to get some sort of experience...

but since ur getting ur BSN..employers won't be as hard on you..because ur were in school....but since u need help paying rent...you should also consider..student loans..that will help with rent and food etc in the fall....

so it wouldn't relaly hurt to wait till december to get a good job BUT...if you are getting one..then yea..i'd go for it ...
