Hey there,
I am interviewing for a new grad position. I was wondering if anyone could give me any idea of what types of questions might be asked during this interview and tips for a successful interview.
Thank You!

there is a good forum posted on this (sorry, i didn't try to find it yet....i just replied right away).
some of the typical things might be:
1.) tell me why you went into nursing or tell me about yourself.
2.) tell me about a time when you used critical thinking skills.
3.) how do you feel about health care and customer service?
4.) what was your best/least favorite moment in nursing school?
5.) what would you do if a physician was yelling at you?
6.) what would you do if a co-worker was not being honest?
7.) what are your strengths and weaknesses?
8.) how would you handle a really upset patient?
9.) how do you feel the workflow will be like in _____ (insert unit interviewing for)?
they also (depending on the unit you are applying for) might give you clinical scenarios and ask you what you would do.
that's all i can think of right now. good luck!

I always got the same three or so...
1. Tell me about the most difficult decision you've had to make in your life.
2. Tell me about a time when you provided superior "customer service" [since this is technically a customer service business]
3. Tell me about your most difficult patient-- i.e., sickest, most things going on.. how did you assess/treat them?
