Hi there,
I recently went on a interview for a new grad position at a local hospital. The interview went fine. I was there for an hour and the nurse manager and I often went off on tangents that we were both passionate about. At the end of the interview she informed me that she would call me in a couple of a days. Since my interview was on Friday, I figured it wouldn't be until the next Friday.
However, on Tuesday I received an email automated from HR stating that I was not selected at this time. Of course I was upset, but grateful to have closure instead of wondering.
Then on Friday I receive a call from the nurse manager stating it was taking longer than anticipated and she was having some sort of technical issues. She wasn't able to clearly explain it. Yet, she told me she would call me Tuesday/ Wednesday and let me know.
Do you think it would be good news? What could change from Friday to Tuesday?
Thanks!

"Technical issues," huh?
I bet the person who was initially offered the job later turned it down, and now, the manager is backtracking to you. If that were the case, the manager should have been upfront about that, but, whatever.
Now, you may get the job instead - though, I would be leery of a nursing manager who initially rejected me, but then later decides to pick me, especially as a last resort.
