I graduated from nursing school in June of 2014...I live in New York & definitely can't move out of state...I've applied to over 100 RN positions and haven't even been called for an interview!! Very discouraging!!! Is this happening to other new grads??? Where do I go from here??? Does anyone know of anywhere that is willing to hire a new grad??

What kinds of positions have you applied for? If you are only looking at acute care (hospitals), try expanding your search into other types of facilities: long term care, home health, outpatient offices. Try expanding the radius you are willing to commute. Look into specialties that aren't your first, second, third or even fourth choice. Review your resume- you say you've applied 100 times without any interview callbacks. What can you do to market yourself (while remaining 100% honest)? Join nursing organizations and attend meetings- networking opportunities can help as sometimes it's more who you know than what you know.
If you absolutely can't relocate, you may need to make peace with the idea that it's going to take longer to find a job. Many areas are seeing far more applicants than open positions. The nursing shortage is, in most places, gone (well, as much as it can be seeing as hospitals are staffing as short as possible, but that's another topic).

Where did you go to school? Did your classmates experience the same issue?
