Hi! Do you have a Maryland nursing license? If so, you can also apply to compact states (VA, DE) and continue to live in MD while working there. Also, try applying to nursing homes, private duty, and maybe community hospitals. Try volunteering where you want to work so they get to know you. Join a professional nursing organization and attend local meetings. Good luck!

OMG where do I begin....I am a new RN grad with an ADN. I graduated in may of this year from Cuyahoga community college in Ohio. I had everything planned as to how I going to get my first job. Even had relatives that could help me get my foot in the door. In july I moved to Maryland and I guess I kind of assumed a miracle would happen and I would get a job. But obviously that isn't the case. I've applying to any and EVERY thing that I could. I find myself doing 4-6 apps a day. I have prior experience as a nursing assistant but that doesn't seem to help at all. As a RN without a BSN and obviously no experience, I feel like the chances of me getting a job are slim. I've started a RN to BSN program recently in hopes that it may spark the interest of hospitals but so far nothing. I'm really considering heading back to Ohio. Pleaseeeee, I could really use any advice or tips on how to possibly increase my chances. I'm desperate lol
