New to Florida...Best Tampa Bay schools for LPN to RN program??

Published

Hello: I have been an LPN for 19 years in Ohio and just moved to Florida 2 years ago. I am interested in an LPN to RN program in the Tampa Bay area but I am not familiar with any of the schools that teach nursing in the area. If I had a preference, I would prefer something similar to a tech school instead of community colleges and the like. If anyone has any local information on where I can start looking I would be very grateful.

You can try Galen LPN-RN program which is 15 months... I to have 19 years as a LPN and decided to return back to school.I recently moved to St. Petes area to start this nursing program....you do not need college credits to start....Good Luck..

Thanks for the reply....I am also looking into Fortis College and their RN bridge program. If anyone has any familiarity with this program/school, opinions would be appreciated.

No,all you need is a high school dip. or GED and pass the PAX-RN entrance exam if you are going for your RN.They also have the LPN program..No college credits needed. If more info is needed let me know.

Hello. I was reading some of your previous posts. I wanted to know what school you decided to go to? Did you choose Galen or Fortis? There is a Fortis in tampa. Whichever one you did decide on could you give me information about? Thanks I'd really appreciate it!
