Hi I am currently waiting on my final evaluation for the RN program, any suggestions on what I should be preparing for, where should I get my books OR only just use excelsior books, what should I study first, etc.. Any info would be helpful, my first time taking online courses. Thanks

Many many people recommend Saunders Comprehensive Review for the nursing exams. Some people used it exclusively with the practice exam and found that some questions are almost identical to some from Excelsiors exams. Def invest in the practice exams. I plan on using SG101, Saunders, the practice exams and recommended texts by excelsiorfor all my nursing exams. I dont know any of the rec texts yet but many people find it to be better off buying used previous editions to save money. I also plan on searching for free pdf versions online. I downloaded the Tortora Microbiology text free from 2shared.com. Google the text name and author aling with "pdf. Many people found Chancellors and College Network books really helpful (find these second hand rather than sign your life away) unlesd you want to pay thousands of dollars on books about 400 $ each.

Welcome & make sure you purchase the EC practice exams, they are worth their weight in gold.

Get study group 101. just get one course at a time to save money. Also, get the medsurg book thats recommended and will be used for all classes. Always get the practice exams and study the rationales for the wrong answers. for math if you dont have it, take beginning algebra from aleks.com. $19.99 . if you score more than 70% on the initial assessment, you get the credit.
You actually save more buying all the sg101 courses at once
Unless you plan on taking all the classes within 6 months it's a deal. But if you plan on taking it slow, it's good to have fresh material

If you go to excelsior webpage and navigate to the bookstore you can see the books needed - don't necessarily go by the isbn number, but the title and edition then check amazon and ebay. Also studygroup101 is excellent and they update their material every year and they now have an audio review for each of the nursing exams. You don't necessarily need all the books either, cause they put a summary of the chapters in most of the study guides.
What do you mean by fresh material? The notes you buy in bundle will be the same content if you buy individually and you will lose $ not a ton but I was pointing out that you save with the bundle
