Hello :)
I will be starting in the ER. I have a long orientation period but I would like to get a jump start with readings and other educational materials. Anyone have any good emergency reference books that they really like? Please let me know. Thank you!

Regarding ER info, check out this website which outlines the ER specialty certification exam and learn the topics discussed.

This has been covered many times, and recently. There is a search box at the bottom of the forum when you're in the desktop view that will probably yield many results and opinions. :) For daily pocket reference, I like the Emergency & Critical Care pocket guide from InforMed, you can find it on Amazon. For a big reference, Sheehy's Emergency Nursing: Principles and Practice is great. For a new ER nurse, I also recommend the TNCC course as well as ENPC if your ER sees peds. Good luck!
