U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hi all,

In the last week, U of AZ has posted a change to their programs. They have dropped their 2nd degree BSN and have added a mepn program (master's entry to the profession of nursing (mepn) pathway). This is available to those who already have a non-nursing bachelor's degree.

I called to get more info. They said tuition would probably run between 35-45k(depends on residency status). They will start having info sessions on the new program starting at the end of this month.

Thanks km0509! I figured they must have been interviewing a lot of people. My interview seemed kind of rushed, but that's for good reason. I am sure when they interviewing a lot of people the interviews just kind of blur together. The wait is already killing me, but at least they gave us a definite date. Yep fingers crossed just keep telling yourself that you deserve it and you'll get in!

Has anyone heard any news from admissions yet?

No. Ugh, the wait is killer!

Was it supposed to be today or a week from today? One of my interviewers said a next Friday, but I was just assuming she meant today.

I believe they said we will get the news today, when I went to the interview prep they said it will take 7 days for the decisions. I haven't heard anything from them yet.

I am pretty nervous now. It is already past their normal business hours.

Yes, it was supposed to be today but the President's Day holiday may have delayed it. The student affairs rep said they would be reviewing the interview scores that Monday and we would find out on Friday (today) either way. Maybe with Monday being a holiday, it pushed the review to Tuesday and the email results back another day. So hard to wait longer! I have been on pins and needles all day!

Got my acceptance to the MEPN, but it is contingent on acceptance to the Grad school. Not really sure when that is decided.

I got my acceptance letter too!

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted. I received my email earlier stating I am on the alternate list...grrrr....

I got my acceptance too! So excited! Which campus are you guys at? I got Phoenix! Joshua, it is my understanding that the grad school acceptance is more of a formality. The nursing school essentially tells the grad school to accept us :)

Don't give up hope yet lovetoski! Someone's circumstances might change and then you'll be in!
