Hi all,
In the last week, U of AZ has posted a change to their programs. They have dropped their 2nd degree BSN and have added a mepn program (master's entry to the profession of nursing (mepn) pathway). This is available to those who already have a non-nursing bachelor's degree.

I called to get more info. They said tuition would probably run between 35-45k(depends on residency status). They will start having info sessions on the new program starting at the end of this month.

Actually, UofA was plan D, LOL. I live in LA and have kids and a hubby, so LA is the best place to be of course! I have interviewed at one school and waiting on a few others. Just sucks to not make the cut. Actually the ironic part to all this is that according to the letter I received "Please notethatchangeshavebeenmade to the 2014‐2015 Admissions Requirementsfor the MEPN program. TheCumulativeGPA requirement of a 3.0has been changed tobe aminimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) based on the last 60 semester hours taken."
Under this new requirement I will have 4.0 in prereqs and 4.0 in last 60. Next year I will be worthy!!!
Hi there! I have a interview on Saturday at noon. I was able to request a Skype interview so I didn't have to pay the high travel costs to Tucson. Last year or maybe two years ago they had group interviews and in the past there were like 200 people being interviewed. I hope that it isn't that many since a lot will be weighing on how well you do.
Hi Joshua. I was also very nervous but of course, for good reason...biggest interview of my life!! It was a group interview (two applicants per room) which definitely added to the nerves! My interviewers were very nice though. I hope it went well! There was a brief information session at the beginning and someone asked how many applicants they were interviewing...165 for 90 spots. We should find out on Friday the decision! Fingers crossed!
