It might be a good idea to take the pt. care tech class first, so you can work as a PCT while going to school to become an LPN. That's what I did 3 yrs. ago-I took a nursing assistant class at the American Red Cross & then worked as a nursing assistant at a hospital while I went to school to become a nurse-& I just graduated with my BSN. I think it's a good idea to start off slowly & take your time & enjoy learning-but you should do what you feel comfortable with doing. Good luck to you, :)
