Hello All,
I recently graduated from a CNA course here in South Florida (Feb. 17) and I was wondering if it is actually possible to work being just certified rather than licensed? If so, is there a significant difference in pay? Currently unemployed, I can't afford the $127 to obtain licensure. My plan is to do some private duty work and await my acceptance letter into the LPN program for the June start date. (soo excited)!!!! Thanks in advance for any repsonses!! :heartbeat
i plan on challenging the cna exam i am an lpn and have not worked for several years just reactivated my lpn in ny and have some classes to take to apply for endorsement in fl i feel pretty confident about the written exam and was able to find a clinical skills course starting monday any suggestions on what material to read for written exam any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

CNAMichelle thanks for the compliment. Oh my, my sympathy goes outt to her. Is she checking exactly what she has done wrong? Maybe goo back to her instructor? At our school, the instructor was great, she will work with me now if I needed it as long as she has the lab available or even a classroom. She will make it! Giving up is NOT AN OPTION!! I'm nervous about taking mine, which I hope will be sooner than later. I have applied for different CNA positions but haven't received any responses just yet. I even called some of the staffing agencies and they stated "you have to have at least 1 year experience and certification!" Urgh....I won't let it get me down though. If I have to take a Unit Secretary position instead of the CNA then soo be it! I'm not knocking Unit Secretaries, you all are great! Here in South Florida, some of the facilities will not even hire you as a U.S unless you went to school for it. But anywho, it will all work out in my favor, hence my user name;)
